Sir,
Your favor of the 14th ult. I duly receiv'd by Major Tudor & immediately waited on Mr Read, to whom I represented the necessity of transmitting you an Acct of the Money mead [undecipherable] by any further delay; at the same time & delivered him the letter you wrote to him by Major Tudor, who promised to make out his Acct and send them by the 1st opportunity; I applied to him again yesterday & he assured me he had sent them by Mr Powell who left this 20th days ago.
