The Balance due Me on [undecipherable] Account is 699 Dollars and 82 which from you will please to lay it. My friend M^r. [undecipherable] Norton of Philadelphia, (to whom I have wrote on the Subject) I also must I shall be your Voucher. M^r. Milligan informed Me when I was with him that he [undecipherable] would attend Me on the Balance of My Amount. I told him I have Charges. Charge the Same as will appear in the Account and not knowing the time from which the Army in Gen. was [undecipherable] in [undecipherable] for I have charged from the time of My last received of Money from your Office - if I have charged interest [undecipherable] to early - [undecipherable] your please to correct it to the time I left the Department which was in Aug. 1779.
