[Docket: T 42 / July 11. 1784 / M [undecipherable: John/James] [undecipherable: White?] / [undecipherable]] N^o 2 Philadelphia July 11. 1784 D Sir Yours N 2 is arrived — I am fearful the German Soldiers have all been settled with, I of course the advances of the State cannot be covered — M^r Richmond had however better make out the receipts and forward them, that the proper enquiry and answer may be [undecipherable] but I cannot give more than my opinion on the subject, that they will undoubtedly be properly answered and that I will allow them the testimoniary which is due to the [undecipherable] and [undecipherable] answer as I have done to Northern loans — this becomes so necessary & important that I conceive they need be under no apprehensions concerning this allowance — I wish to be informed whether you will be able to obtain money on Morris' Notes [undecipherable] from the [undecipherable] of the State [undecipherable] I send your [undecipherable] my complim[en]ts to M^r Richmond
