Sir
The Superintendent of Finances having con-
fined me to close a sum of money from
Boston for the subsistance of the Troops at
West Point, I committed the draft into the hands
of the Pay master of the American [undecipherable]
with a view to prevent the money from acting
to apply it for the subsistance of the regiment as
A braveness —
The unexpected discharge of those Troops having
the sum of $2276 [undecipherable] Dollars [undecipherable] remaining
