[From Jas. Lovell July 7. 1784] [289] M^r Pierce Esq^r Boston July 7^th 1784 Sir I have received your obliging Letter of the 9^th Ulti^o. You want some order from him (K) or the civil Authority. He wrote me May 4^th " from Philadelphia [undecipherable] Toppan " when I wrote you from York to have " [undecipherable] the [undecipherable] Statement of Acc^ts here " but am disappointed. I have requested " M^r Pierce to retain mine in his " Hands for you, which Sir I beg you " to make use of as you think proper " either to keep or dispose of them He took up monies then on my Acc^t which I have liquidated but he had before taken up 3 times the Value of all his Debt.
