I remember with great pleasure the time I spent in philadelphia in your Society I wish that my health would permit me to return again in that Country give me leave to pray you to pay attention to my accounts since I have been in the Service of the united States I have been appointed Captain by a resolve of Congress 15 Octo^ber 1777 and I have been paid in paper money to the Octo^ber 1779 and I have been Kept in the Army by another resolve of Congress of 2 January 178[undecipherable] as Captain, and to the marquis de lafayette and Consequently I have Right to the Depreciation from Octo^ber 1779 at to Octo^ber 1779 and from that period my full pay to the end of the war and to the Commutation.
