[from M^r Lovell] [r^d June 8. N^o 4] Boston, May 24^th 1784 Sir Adjutant Lovell writes me that he has requested you to retain in your Hands what is due to him upon "a final Subsistence, for me." Pity my Sufferings so far as to execute [underline: that Request, if the Information] is to be depended upon. And as I expect no Opportunity again so good as the present by M^r Jose Brown let him be the Bearer of the Produce to me upon giving you a Receipt therefor on my Behalf. If any Thing is necessary beyond our former acquaintance to persuade you to compleat the Business speedily M^r Brown can add it from his own Knowledge.
