Philad.^a April 7. 1784 — M^r Alexander Blaine has presented a Certificate from Gen^t Irvine by which it appears there is due him for Forage furnished the Garrison at Fort Pitt, forty two Pounds; which it seems ought long since to have been paid; if convenient I could wish that sum in Addition to the Forage Estimate lying before you, Amounting to two hundred and thirty four Pounds five Shillings may be discharged by Note as usual, the applications to me being frequent and pressing — [signature: S.H.] Sup^t Finance
