Walk[er], Feb'y 17. 1784] New York Feb'y 1. 1784 Dear Sir You will remember that we made out my accounts, to the Years 80 & [17]82 and lodged them in your Office on looking over my [undecipherable] I find the Acc't for 81 is not right — I have therefore [strikethrough: undecipherable] or Return as the old one — I am charging my self with 200 dollars that the [express?] had his [undecipherable] going to the [undecipherable] with the Baron — the [undecipherable] a 1500 bill was [meant?] for 200 dol's therefore I have given Credit for that from the I have [undecipherable] for a horse I [have?] purchased for $50 — I have also taken out of the Acc't of 1783 my [undecipherable] as the State pays me that — The Acc't of 80 & 82 are right as you have them for 83 — I have left you [room?] to fill in not being certain [how?] much I have received — tho I think 5 Months of that Year is only due — I [send?] [three?] Months at Philadelphia as I [settled?] those with the General — I suppose you make out the [Certificates?] from the [accounts?] of [undecipherable] there will be one for: The balance of 80 ——————————— 130. 5/90 as for the balance of 82 ——————————— [100?] [here?] for the balance of 1783 of the [enclosed?] calculation [undecipherable] } $548[undecipherable] The interest being allowed on the [sums?] due at the end of [the] Year I have made the same allowance for the balance due from me on the Acc't of the Year 1781 deducting it from my amount of 13[undecipherable] — I will be obliged to you to [consult?] any [undecipherable] to make a final settlement and to give the Certificates to M^cCanoley to whom [strikethrough: undecipherable] I will also thank you to [send?] me by him a Copy certified by you of each of my Accounts — M^cCanoley will pay any [expenses?] a dollar to Copy them if you will be so good as to Certify them — I am Sir [Marginal note: let one note [being?] for 85 doll. for the [undecipherable]] J.
