You will perceive by the Resolution of Congress of the 9th of August last that the Officers of our Regiment that were Inhabitants of Canada at the Commencement of the war are to continue to Receive their Subsistence till further orders — as I some since that Description there Remains due to me Subsistence from October last inclusive I therefore will be very much Obligd to you to inform me by the first Opportunity whether I am to Receive it or not & if I am I will be greatly Oblig'd to you to forward me the [undecipherable] at this place enclosing Such Receipt as you think proper which I will Sign & Transmit to you by a Safe Conveyance in doing which you will Very much Oblige your most Obedt Very
