Morris Ten thousand dollars per order of the Same date as then was given two thousand of which was Kept for the use of the Office here which M. Morris knew. as a Number of Prisoners had applied for their pay & Subsistence for last year. M^r. Carleton is not yet returned from Maryland. the Vouchers are all ready for his Examination accounts & up to the 1 January. I Shall make application to M. Morris for the Subsistence of the Garrison at West Point. when those is Sent on for your safe Oppl. as there has been no apps. from Charles Town Since the beginning of December last. I suppose is the reason we have not heard from M^r. Dart. and as soon as his Vouchers arrive you may depend they Shall be immediately examined & Entered; Same wrote him again. as soon as [underline: the Office Opens] Inclosed you have a duplicate of Cap.
