Dear Sir          Pay Office Philadelphia Feb^y 10. 1784 This Day I recëived yours of the 28 Jan^y I did receive from M^r Morris Ten thousand dollars — on order of the Same Date as this one giving — two thousand of which was Kept for the use of the Office here since M^r Morris knew. as a Number of Prisoners had Applied for their pay & Subsistence for last year. M^r Carleton is not yet returned from maryland. the Prisoners are all ready for his Examination up to 1^st January — I have made application to M^r Morris for the Subsistence of the Garrison at West point. once those be Sent on for his safe Appl — as there has been no Appl from Charles Town Since the beginning of December last.
