Enclosed is a Return of the Articles purchased for & expenditures in the Armory for the quarter ending Sept 30 ult. with the Superintendents Receipts___ I expected two thousand Dollars this way expent I notice in your Letter of the 4th inst. it has not come to hand ____ I presume before this you have received my Letter of the 1st inst. acknowledging the Receipt of f nine hundred Dollars enclosed in your letter of the 27th ult. being the ballance owe on Estimate for September

Will you be good enough to purchase for the use of the United States Armory at this Post Two Barrels neatsfoot Oil__ One tun Father & Son Steel Two hundred pounds of good Brass about 60% of it Sheet Brass & One hundred pounds Cast Steel, & forward the same by the first vessel bound to Hartford to be delivered John Cooley Boatman __ Be good enough to forward your bills to your father that proper vouchers for me be made in his name
