Springfield January 16th 1800 Sir Enclosed are the pay & Muster Rolls of the Armorers employd at this post for the month of Decr 1799 as handed me by the Superintendt also an Estimate of the probable amount of expenditures for the Month of January inst--with a Return of Muskets & Bayonets recd of Mr Ames subsequent to Novr 11. 1799-- If the Estimate of Expenditures meets your your approbation, I wish the amount may be paid over to Saml Hodgdon Esqr my Agent, to be remitted me on acount of the Armory I am Sir with the utmost respect Your obt Servant Jas Williams Honl James McHenry Secretary of War Copy
