Sir

I transmit you enclosed the list of monies received by you from this hearing, & my signature to the receipt on the back. I should have executed it before, but you did not inform me it was necessary in any of your former letters, & I considered the power of attorney adequate to every purpose --

I before requested your attention to have the vouchers for the disbursements of cash made by Major Craige passed to my credit -- This may have taken place before for I am totally uninformed on the subject - from July last all vouchers on taken in my name, & pass through my hands for the Treasury, but previous to that period Craige took all his vouchers in his own name, which probably might preclude having passed to my credit - But as all the money is chargeable to me, the vouchers for the disbursements of it should go to my credit -

The first account of disbursements of cash accompanied with the vouchers, when I transmitted to the comptroller of the treasury, then was omitted one voucher charged in the account but owing to a mistake of Haragan had not come forward - beside which I have named it - I enclose it to you & beg you will call at the Comptrollers office & have it rectifyied - it is for payment to Saml Hanby as commissr of Military Stores -

I have drawn on you then
