Sir,

    The Inclosed [sic] is [crossed out word: "a"] Copy of a Letter [crossed out word "I"] recd. from Colo Hawkins yesterday. It [crossed out illegible word] [crossed out words: "requires attention you will take into consideration the contents of the inclosed,"] I shall comply with [crossed out: "the Colo."] his desires in sending to Savannah or Augusta for

the articles mentioned, in Mr. Hopkins my assistant, left him yesterday for [crossed out words: "this illegible I have of"] Maryland. I hope [illeg] shortly arrives from your quarter. If I am not much [illeg] with, expect in the course of this month to get all my [illeg] sent away, we have had none injured by worms this season. -- I am Sir [illeg] Obt. Servant
