Knoxville August 29th1799
Sir
I have drawn on in favor of
this day, in favor of Thomas Humes on order for one
thousand three hundred Dollars, payable afterten
days sight, which Surn is to be appropriated
to the paying the Army under the Command of
Colonel Butler in the District of Tennessee,
and having [undecipherable] this same to the credit of the
Treasurer request of our paying the same
Notice this after the second sale of Bills drawn
in favor of this Gentleman; the other living for
the Subsistence of the Army to the amount
of one thousand dollars, and of the same date.
To the Honourable I am very Respectfully
