Knoxville 27 August 1799
Sir,
This time I have drawn on you in honour of Mr. Cheney and Elder for One Thousand, seven hundred, ninety three dollars, and four cents, payable to them on order after ten days [undecipherable] value has been received in [undecipherable] for this amount which will be appropriated to the paying of the Army in Tennessee from April to June 1799. + having papers the same to the Credit of the Treasurer request your approbation to this Bill.
