McHenry writes that he is glad to hear the damage done to the ship during its launching has been repaired; directs Barry to moor in the harbor and take on cannon and all its other supplies, which have been provided by Mr. Francis, the purveyor. Discusses the procuring of recruits for the ship, the hiring of seamen to make it seaworthy, and the enlistment of the ship's doctor. A note from the purveyor is appended.
