I think it will be proper for you to direct address the inquiry concerning the public buildings mentioned alluded to in your letter of the 18h inst. to the Secretary of War, as I presume they have been built for the use of that Department. By this This will put the matter in a regular train of consultation between the Secretary of War & myself
