Sir.
I have not been Stationary in one place more than three weeks since last September, - I did intend to have closed my accounts for last year while at Pittsburg - but on the 3d of this month the Commander in cheif ordered me to repair to this place, here to be stationary - I came down on the 5th instant, and on the 10th first stroke was truck towards furnishing me with an house - I am in hopes it will be done by the 1st of March . - In the mean time I am crowded upon a friend in a cold hut with no convenience even for copying a letter - I leave you to judge of with how much accuracy or ease I am to transmit my accounts Quarterly to your office.
your letter & list of warrants & last post are recieved.
