Know all men by these presents, That I
Thomas Abner of Argile late a soldier of
the line of New York in the Regiment commanded by
Colonel Seth Warner do make, constitute and appoint
Ebenezer Farnham of the State of Pennsylvania
my true and lawful Attorney, and to substitute him in my Place and Stead,
with full Power and Authority to ask, demand, and receive in my
own Name, and for my Use and Benefit, all the Wages and
Arrearages of Cloathing due to me from the Public for my Services in the Regi-
ment aforesaid, and upon receiving a Certificate or Certificates therefor form
the Register of the Treasury or other proper Officer, with full Power to ^[undecipherable]transfer
said Certificate, and to^[Editor's note: inserted"as"] sign^[Editor's note: inserted "undecipherable"] in my Name a full Acquittance of Claim to the Arrear-
ages aforesaid; and to further invest him with ample Authority, a Substitute or
Substitutes under him for the aforesaid Purposes to constitute and appoint.
Hereby ratifying and confirming all that my said Attorney and Substitute, or
his Substitute or Substitutes shall or may do in Virtue hereof. Witness my
Hand and Seal, this Ninth Day of July
