I have sent you by the bearer five pounds Sugar, two pounds of Tea & four pounds Chocolate for your Sick. Genl Knox says he has ordered a Surgeon to your Post, when he arrives I shall send you should such Stores as he shall di-rect. __ I have proposed to Capt Houghes, to employ Doctor Whey to attend your sick till a Surgeon comes forward, but he says he is not justifiable in so doing.

Yesterday, Lieut Demlar with no Alon Embarked for Galliopolis & Aloy or Trueman Arrived the day before yesterday, has taken 20 of Capt Hughes detachment to Fort Washington, by there two detachments CaptHughs Command is greatly Reduce'd__

Mayor Trueman Says Genl S. Cain has Resign'd and that Ensign Morgan is ordered to Fort Washington for Trials by a Gentleman from Marietta who arrived yesterday - I am told that Major Leigh had arrived at that place on his way to Philadela in order to Resign__
