Danville, -cy that the militia of Kentucky from
26th July 1789 their hardiness, alertness & bravery are
Convention to the able to render essential Service to the
President of the inhabitants of the district, if they are em
United States ployed in its defence.

And we beg leave further
to observe, that from the present station of
the federal troops, it is absolutely im-
possible to give the commanders notice
so as to enable them, even if their force
was sufficient to render any service
whatever."
