I have received yours, of 13th and 22 of December Last by Mr. [undecipherable last name perhaps Monro] -- And agreeable to your directions have selected out five hundred of the Arms which want the Least repair (which are [undecipherable word] Arms, and have agreed with him to repair and Clean them with the payments at 49/96 of a Dollar each. he [undecipherable word perhaps find] the oil and [undecipherable word] -- The public find the Steel, Iron, Wire and Glue -- provided it should meet with your approbation --
On the 21 of Novr Last, I wrote you respecting the making of two hundred [two undecipherable words perhaps powder casks] to Contain 100 pounds at three Shillings per [undecipherable word] -- the man has wrote to me requesting to be informed wither you would have them made or not --
I wish it may meet with your approbation to have them made, as they will be ab absolutely necessary for the powder next summer == In your last
In your last Letter of December 13 you give me permission to sell Mr. Higby the House, but did not direct, wither he might take possession of the Land which he Claims. I will thank the General to Inform me upon this subject.
I have forwarded by the Bearer -- Mr. James Dunca The Returns of Ordnance and Quarter Masters Stores, for the month of December 1787 --
